Why does God allow evil?

Have you ever wondered why or how God allows evil? Is it because He is distant and out of touch with what is happening in the world He created? Is He recording everything that is happening for a judgment that is to come? Is He giving mankind a "grace period" to get right with Him, and turn from doing evil? Any thoughts?

Because there is no God? *gasp*

If there was really a God, Christians would be liberal.

Dear Jayson,

If you are right, then I have lived the greatest, most wonderful life ever, because I have lived it according to the Word of God. I have helped many people with their marriages and addictions because I have pointed them to Christ and the Word of God. I have healed faster because of prayer and I have lived a longer life by attending church whenever the doors are open (which non-Christian Statisticians have proven to be true).

If you're wrong, however, I get to spend eternity in a beautiful place called heaven, with Almighty God, for all of eternity.

You, on the other hand, will not only miss out on the greatest (guilt free) life possible on earth, but the greatest place to spend eternity. Those who reject Christ will spend eternity in a place called "The Lake of Burning Sulphur" were there is non stop torment. (Revelation 20:10)

Only a fool would risk spending eternity in such a place, and always remember, that if you end up there, it's not because God sent you there (He sent His Son Jesus to die in order to make it possible for us to avoid it). Those who wind up in hell will be there because that is the choice they made during their very brief stay on earth.

I pray that you make the right choice, and accept the sacrifice that Jesus made for you, and become a follower of Jesus Christ today! Remember, not one of us is guaranteed another breath on this earth. Make the right choice today before your time runs out and it is too late for you to choose.

God is very liberal! He has allowed all of mankind thousands of years (and each of us an entire lifetime) to make the right choice! I am praying for yours, my friend.

Blessings,
Pastor Ralph

God allows evil because he wants us to realze what we did to ourselves. We are the ones who brought evil intohte world. God didn't. He wants us to expereance the horror of it and possably draw us closer to him for protection.

Yes, now that Adam & Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good & evil, mankind now knows evil, and must choose God and purposely live for Him. Man has made life and that choice much more difficult now, but God loved us enough to fill us with His Spirit to counsel & convict us so that we may choose rightly. Just as God has the power to allow evil, there is coming a day when He will excercise His power and destroy it.

God Bless you Sister!

Personally, I don't think god cares one way or another about evil! I believe in the god that Thomas Jefferson believed in! I didn't always believe this way(used to be nazarene), but through research in the history of early christian writings, watching and listening to debates, and seeing how poorly religion is handling itself in these modern days, I decided that I'm better off without it! My final statement(in the form of a question)is this, if there's truly an ALL LOVING, ALL POWERFUL, ALL CARING god, then why hasn't god and why won't god EVER heal an amputee??!! A person can claim god healed them from a runny nose or cancer, but it's visually evident that god CAN NOT heal a person who's missing a limb!

Dear Ken, you can read 2 Corinthians 5:1-10 and see that God does heal amputees! They simply need to commit their lives to Christ, like everyone else and continue serving God in the mean time. When they arrive in heaven God will provide them with a brand new, "perfect" body!If you think people without limbs can't have a relationship with God, live a blessed life, or be used of God like anyone else, I would recommend that you visit the following website which reveals one of many individuals doing just that! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGZYT50Bow4

It sounds like you have had a bad experience with religion, which is typical. Jesus died, not so we could have "religion", but a RELATIONSHIP with Almighty God (which is what the Church of the Nazarene is all about). Visiting nazarene.org will help you clarify that.

I pray this will help you on your journey...

Blessings,
Pastor Ralph
